he includes the flex test pics with the serial # on the pages, so i bet bruce could look them up

Wonder how they ended up at a Liquidation Warehouse. It seems one should be wary of purchasing poles from a place that may not know anything about how they should be handled.

Seeing this thread again reminded me that I had intended to write the final chapter on the 3 ESSX poles on Ebay from the liquidation warehouse.

I bought all three poles for bargain prices ($339 total). They taped the three tubes together for shipping and were able to get UPS to handle them (something I've never been able to do). I think the total shipping charge was $56. So far so good.

They arrived one afternoon while I was at work. My wife called me to ask what to do. A 1.5 ft. piece off the top of one of the poles was taped to the outside of the package of pole tubes. I can only assume that this happened in transit. The other two looked OK to my wife and the UPS driver, but the driver needed a decision immediately. I wasn't going to take any chances to I refused the delivery and sent them back. I contacted the seller and they were very understanding and gave me a complete refund (including the shipping charge). I told them that if they relisted them they should have the buyer pick them up, but I haven't seen them listed again and the seller doesn't seem to have a non-Ebay presence, i.e., no retail outlet in Phoenix where the poles could be inspected.

BTW, in case they show up again, they were weight-rated in the 124 to 129 lb. range.

All of these are in MN. I wouldn't believe the $40 shipping, it says it is via UPS and they won't ship poles. Maybe they got a $40 rate from another company.
