If you havent broken a pole:

1. Put in some shiny new spikes
2. Put on spikes
3. Step on least favorite pole
4. Full run, low plant vault

Congratulations, you have joined the club.

broken poles

Unread postby vaultmom » Mon Jul 26, 2004 11:39 am

My son has only broken one pole. His freshman year in college at workout. It had a crack in it. But he whiplashed so bad the pole flew out onto the track and whacked another runner pretty good. Gave Bob a big whelp across his back. oouch. Just like a conscussion, a right of passage.
