Getting back in the saddle
I've recently found out about a pole vaulting club in the city I live in. I want to buy a pole or two for me to use. I know what I used to vault on back in HS but that wont work for me today. I was an 18 year old, 5' 11", 130lbs vaulter on a 14' 145lb Pacer III. Now I'm 30 years old and am a more solid 165lbs. I'm in shape and am thinking of a 14' pole 170-175lbs but would like to practice for a while then test a bunch to see what would work. Any ideas?

Use the club's poles for a few months then see where you are at. A lot will depend on your speed which is hard to estimate.
