Just wondering what is the highest you have ever seen or heard of someone jumping in their first meet?

My friend (and best man) jumped 3.90m (12' 9"). Two weeks later at second meet he went to 4.10m (13' 5"). At this time he was 7ft high jumper - not an beginner in T&F.

Carly Dockendorf jumped 12'2 in her first meet, and Katy Viuf jumped 12'7.50 in her first meet.

There are probably decathletes that have jumped 15'+ in their first meet.

BIlly Olson jumped 14' the first day he touched a pole. He was a golfer in high school at that point. He went on to jump 16' that season and the rest is history.
