French globetrotter Stéphane Beauché took 6th place. He is working in the international tourism industry and has already distinguished himself in Indonesia when he came out 3rd at the East Java Papua high jump championships in 2008 (he prefers pole vaulting, but they didn't have any poles over there). In Indonesia he accompanied tourists on volcano walks. In 2009, when working in some seaside resort in Ireland, he ended up sixth in pole vault at the Irish National Championships. Last summer he worked in Austria accompanying tourists on rafts. Back in France for some months this autumn he was training hard and successfully introduced more Russian elements in his technique. Actually, he is working as a skiing instructor in the Austrian Alps.
