http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4iyVFuaIFMIn the comments to the video, Lavillenie says, the pole was "5m10/14.9 .... 3 days after, friday, i jumped with 5m10 14.4 and 14.3"
and says he did not touch the 6.60m bungee but that he did touch it once last year.

From what I know about Spanish, with French being similar, I think at the beginning of the video it says that he runway is 25cm above the box, so I think its a raised runway with a box in the ground. His jump sure is lookin' good tho! Thanks for the post Becca-- Mark will probably see you at the Annual Meeting

No surprise about the raised runway. Ive seen video of renaud training like that before. The higher pole angle at takeoff alows them to get on there long run poles from a few shorter strides.

I guess that's one way of being taller than grande at takeoff.
Makes you think how tall grande is.
Even 10" up with his reach to grandes I'll bet they would be close to the same. Lol
Would be interesting to see how much difference this could make. Though a lot of work we do have the set up to try. Only thing like this is I have jumped off a spring board. Talk about trusting your takeoff and being accurate

The question: what do you think, can anyone possible jump 6.60 using any help imaginable today? 5.40 pole, raised runaway, downhill, deeper box, spring board or any combination of above?
