I didn't see any big surprises regarding who got through and who didn't. From the US Collegiate ranks, Tina Sutej made it through, Tori Pena did not.

Because she needs to wait a year since she competed at Worlds last year.

And British record holder Kate Dennison reached the pole vault final with clearances of 4.15m, 4.25m and 4.35m.
"Job done," she said. "It was bit of a hairy warm-up, slipping off the pole with the heat, but it's great to get through with only three jumps. I think in Berlin [at the World Championships] I had to do eight or nine to reach the final."

Field: Dennison eases into final
Eurosport - Wed, 28 Jul 13:46:00 2010
British record holder Kate Dennison was pleased after easing into the pole vault final at the European Championships in Barcelona.
The 26-year-old has not had the best of seasons this term, failing to reach the dizzy heights of the last campaign when she raised her personal best by a mammoth 20 centimetres.
At the European Team Championships in Bergen, Norway in June Dennison could only manage seventh place, ensuring she had a few butterflies in her stomach ahead of Barcelona.
But she has taken to the event like a moth to a flame.
"It was pretty tough competing in the heat but I was pretty comfortable after a slightly shaky start," she said.
"I was really nervous at the start but a few early clearances at some low heights soon calmed me down and I'm feeling good for the final now.
"It's job done for me. I had a bit of a hairy warm-up out there because I kept slipping off the pole because of the sweat on my hands.
"I really want a PB out here - before the Worlds last year I was jumping PBs and then I was jumping them after the champs as well."
