When I saw him in NY (granted I was looking head on and not from the side) his run look a bit out of control at the very end. Lavillenie's looked much tighter and his pole drop matched up well with his acceleration. I think Hooker's problems are in the end of his run and his plant, he was inside a lot that day and from the videos I have he didn't seem to have completed his plant by the time the pole hit the back of the box. I'd bet that's why he's inconsistent

Oh yeah, final result, Lavillenie 5.91, took three shots at 6.07!

Video from the meet: (no video of the jumps at 6.07, but the Lausanne clip he uploaded has his attempt at 6.02 from a few weeks ago that was as close as it gets)
