(Picture Alliance) German pole vaulter Carolin Hingst posted a new European-leading mark when she cleared 4.72m at ‘Weltklasse in Biberach’, a European Athletics Outdoor Classic Meeting on Friday.
Hingst added six centimetres to her outdoor best - although she has been over 4.70m indoors - on her second attempt, before three failures at what would have been a German record height of 4.78m.
