Please help me. i am very new to pole vaulting. i used to not have this problem, but now when is jump my elbow and head are on the left of the pole, and i sort of go horizontal when i hit the bar. cant even clear 7 anymore

Need to work on getting the hands up early enough to put pressure into the pole. Ideally your hands will be up before the pole hits the back of the box. You may also need to move your step back to allow this to happen.
