Well I just got back from the New Hampshire class M/S state championships. It wasn't good vaulting weather, there was winds around 10 mph at some times blowing down the runway away from the pits. The cool temperature coupled with the wind made it a hard day to vault. The winning vault was only 10'6". Some how I managed to jump 10' and got 3rd place. this means I advance to the Meet of Champions! I'm excited, but nervous at the same time, I'm only a Sophomore and all the people I will be vaulting against are Seniors and all have PR's that are at least a foot above mine. I know I'm going to get last at the competition, but at least I can experience it.

Anyone else do well at their state meets?

We had a headwind too, and they wouldnt switch the mats for us...but it was just a bad day for everyone, 14-16 foot jumpers no heighted and winning height was only 13'9...it was soo wierd...check www.ohstrack.com for the full results

There wasnt any 16 foot jumpers, dont let old 6th year senior Adam Ergenbright blow smoke @#$%^^^@#!@. Anyone who has jumped 16 can come in and clear 14ft in their sleep. I dont care what the conditions are.

Im guessing you have somethin against Adam, but you're right, the conditions shouldn't have bothered him or the others.

The conditions werent that bad, the only thing I saw was the thick pad they had around the box. Adams ok if he keeps his mouth shut....
