New England and Delaware

Unread postby pistolpete6994 » Tue Nov 01, 2005 2:06 pm

I'm not a geography major, but for some reason I think the designations of regions is slightly scewed here. Not that I have a problem with Delaware being considered a part of New England, I mean, we are simply the best around ;) , but for there own sake I would think they might want to be considered Northeast, or East, or Atlantic or something... Since in the Nearest New England neighbor they have is almost 8 hours away in Connecticut! Not to butt heads with anyone.... but did you just forget your geography or did Connecticut buy Delaware?

:P

I went with the regions used by the USATF men's pole vault development staff. I assume Bob Fraley made them up, but I guess I can't say for sure.

I think us Delawareans are just glad we werent forgotten about all together :P

When I was in California, I dont know how many times people asked me where I was from, and when I would say "Delaware" they would ask me what state that was in...

Well.... either that or they'd start quoting Wayne's World - lol
