Strange Croosbar ends?

PVJunkie called me about this - and in the closing credits they showed another PV jump - looked like square crossbare ends! Maybe it was just an optical thing

The crossbar and pegs were legit. I taped it and looked again...when hartwig goes over i could see the rounded ege and when he hits it, it gets rolled over so you can see the flat side, may have caused some confusion. I saw someone (LoJo?) do a pop up when they were showing the final results of the top 3.

I agree with Gus sure would of liked to see someone Clear 19', seems like a very low height for World Championship year, the condition might not been perfect but usually someone clears 19', wonder what won some others nationals?

why did Lo Jo start so high? Was he feelin confident or has recently cleared some big heights in practice?

He has a broken hand and probably figured he might only be able to clear one height so he started at something that would probably put him on the team.

LoJo looked horrible. I think he started high cause he just wanted to throw it all on the line in a gamble. An all or nothing type of thing. He wouldn't have cleared at any height though.....he was coming up way short on every jump. He looked like a guy who hasn't jumped in a competition in a year and was trying to jump with a broken hand.

Someone who has it taped - please check - did they say Hartwig and Derek started at 18-8? - it is clear that they started lower and passed - I was curious - didn't have vcr on - da --- with the stellar coverage you would never have know about the passing game or guys taking shoots at 18-10 trying to get into top three! Lets not even mention the Deca -

I dont have it taped but Im pretty sure they said Hartwig opened at 18-8 but I think they said it was Miles first attempt at the height.
