Here is the report from Rusty Shealy (Chase's dad)
Rusty Shealy wrote:I just wanted to let you know that Chase finished 2nd tonight at Stanford.
As you may know the top 2 are going to Barbados with "Team USA" in July. Chase
hurt his back in warmups so he stopped after only a few practice jumps. He
entered the competition on his smallest pole in his bag and still pulled off
the 17' 0.75" vault. He did what he had to to get the job done.
PRAISE THE LORD!!!
I hope Chase's back feels better soon! Can't wait to see what he does on his bigger poles

Chase is a good vaulter. It seems like he has struggled a bit though this season, and still is vaulting 17' at the big meets.
