This is probably what isn't on everyone's mind when they look at this, but what is with the -2 points next to Kyle Mills-Bunge's NH? I didn't know that they took away points for NHing

There was a bit more to the girls results than meets the eye...
vault order was: Anthony, Simmons, Stately, Peña
At 12'8, there were 4 girls over the bar. Stately on her first, Peña and Simmons on 2nds, and Anthony on her 3rd.
At 13', Stately misses on first. Peña follows to clear on first attempt. Stately follows on her 2nd. Others obviosuly dont make it.
At 13'4, Stately up first, makes it. Peña follows, misses.
Peña's coach informs her that even if she makes 13'4, shes still in 2nd. She opts to pass, and go for the win.
Both girls take 2 attempts at 13'8. After Peña's 2nd miss, she's done. Stately passes to 13'9.5 for a new natl record, and comes up short.
So there was more drama than whats seen on the results
