I compete on Friday at 3:30, and I will be at the track on Saturday morning to watch my old age group jump. However, I have to leave the track for the airport just when your competition is getting started. I'll be looking for you to say hello and hear about Linz.

Current time in Linz is 9:40 Sunday morning....excellent facility, Chris Duhon won a silver medal last night, I didn't see it but Johnnye Valien won a gold!
I vault tommorow, will let you know how I do, one complication is that my poles got stuck in the US and won't be here

...the UK vaulters were gracious enough to let me use there poles, so we will see how that goes! If all else fails, I spoke to a local coach and he has a pole I could use off of 10 steps, so that is my fall-back, but he did have a good point, you don't want to come all the way to Austria to vault off a short approach.
So, if any of you know of anyone who has 15' Carbon FX poles with flexes between 16.0 and 17.0 in the Munich or Linz area, give me a shout out!

Cheers,
Dan

Thanks for updating us here in the states. Sorry to hear of your pole problems but I'm confident you will rise to the occassion (pun intended). Have a good time in Linz and I'll see you in Boston next weekend.
Good luck! Vault high, vault safe.

Was able to get 4.40 and won the gold on the borrowed poles....I was exhausted on my attempts at 4.60, probably a combination of jet lag and worry from the whole pole situation, but in any case, see you in Boston!

Congratulations on becoming the World Champion!

Now you can get your rest so you'll be ready for the Nationals in Boston.
