Looking for an old Javelin

I'm looking for an old javelin for very cheap. I have a very restrictive budget, so I'll take even the crappyest, most dinged-up, decrepid, stone-age javelin you got.

I recommend a Turbojav until you can find one. They're often on ebay. I have an old Russian jav that I might let go, but it's not competition legal. I never threw the Long Tom, but it looks like a good practice jav. Look it up on M-F Athletic.

ok.... I looked into those Turbojav things and I think I'll get one of those, so i don't need and old javelin anymore

is throwing the turbo jav much different from a normal jav?

I've heard both yes and no. Some hail it as a great invention. I went to a clinic where the speaker said the TurboJav was the most worthless piece of training equipment for the javelin that he had ever seen. I don't throw the jav, so I wouldn't know, but I've heard both.

i've heard both as well, and i dont throw either, but i've heard more of the worthless side. probably the biggest plus of the turbo jav is that you can throw it indoors....regular jav, not so much


i would check the gill website. sometimes they have good deals on closeout equipment, just make sure you get the correct weight.
