Ask how much hands on involvement the coaches will have with the vaulters. A lot of coaches will give you the lifting and running workouts and let you go at it, they barely watch. Dont take this personally, but you're going to be in college. A coach isnt going to hold your hand and baby you along. ...

Not to nit pick or diminish what Lawrence has done but Sallie had jumped 12'8". You are correct though about the improvements not showing in height. It was a pretty drastic change for most of the jumpers. Whatever....Listen the Stat say how high she jumped the yr before so i dont really care!!...
