Well of course i had to suck at the district meet I cleared opening height easily with my first jump at 12'3" At 12'9" i missed my first two and decided to move up to the next pole in my series and i guess my standards were off... or somethin My coach couldnt make it because of prior engag...

I do agree with what both others are saying... good points that's really the reason that we have this forum is to get all these points of view & different opinions and for others to catch what others may have missed but for me the video skipped like crazy (on my other computer) and i couldnt eve...

A common problem especially among young vaulters your bottom arm is completely collapsed... what it should be straight at your plant.. helping the pole bend my suggestion would be to do slide-box drills... it's amazing how much it has helped me once you get that inital plant right... you can start w...

The reason that his bottom arm is collapsing so much is because he isn't really bending the pole what he needs is a shorter/softer pole that he can actually bend... it is a lot easier to keep that bottom arm straight when you actually bend the pole if you have to i'm sure a school nearby will help y...

I'm in district 3... how about you?

I'm having trouble with keeping my plant leg back and getting a good swing out of it, especially as i progress to stiffer poles... any ideas? Also i noticed that i am extending both legs too soon which making me flag out and keeps me from getting inverted... again, especially as i progress to stiffe...
