to fix your problem: work on your plant. period.

moving up poles too fast will also make the problem worse--cause if you dont have a good plant on a soft pole, youll have an even worse plant on a tougher pole.

at regionals...

pole height: 12' gripping at 11' vaulting 10' so, vaulting a foot under where youre gripping... decent or not? possibly could of went higher but we didnt have a 140, only a 135 and i was apparently crushing that. not on my 10' jump but only on my 10'4'' one--perhaps a sudden adrenaline boost. that e...

No! Long distance training is no good for vaulting, it just messes up your stride. When you run long its a completly different form then for sprints. So instead, you really should focus on sprints--really no more than a 100 at a time. Think about it, when you vault you take seven or so lefts which i...

cause i really cant get the speed i need with like the friction of the pole, and im super frusterated at this point. The friction shouldn't be that bad. What kind of pole tip are you using? I have found the Gill tips seems to slide the best, with UCS tips a close second. The soft rubber ones that A...

recoil of the pole

just how much should you use the recoil of your pole versus the strength of your own swing? because lately when ive been going up, i feel like the pole is just flinging me haphazardly and i really have no control over where im going--if that makes any sense. also, any tips to fix a plant thats too e...
